The stairway in the first-period area of the historic house has been restored. The original staircase was removed then the addition to the home was built around 1835. At that time, a much larger staircase was constructed in the main hall. By restoring the stairs in the first period part of the house, we can have a better understanding of how the Walton family lived in the home during their lives.
